Why did you create Behind the Dedication?
Behind the Dedication was born from my own story.
When I wrote the dedication in my book, I realized those few lines represented years of love, courage, heartbreak, gratitude, and lessons learned. Like many authors, I discovered there was an entire story behind a handful of words.
That realization inspired Behind the Dedication.
The tribute I create for you is personally crafted from the memories, photographs, and reflections you share with me. I don’t use templates to tell your story. I take the time to understand the person behind your dedication, because I know how much those few lines can mean.
It is a privilege to help preserve that story—and the legacy of the person who inspired it.
You can be confident that I will personally handle every aspect of this project for you without outsourcing or relying on third parties. I will take care of your story as if it were my own. And when we’re done, I hope you’ll feel compelled to say, “She understood.”

Creating your Legacy Experience typically requires approximately 9-10 hours to complete. The production process is executed with meticulous care and attention to detail. Depending on our current workload, you can expect to receive your finished Tribute within 2 to 3 weeks. If you need it quickly, please let us know, and we will accommodate your request.
What information do I need to provide?
We keep the process simple.
You provide:
- Your book title
- The dedication as it appears in your book
- Answers to a few brief questions about the person or people being honored
- Optional photographs
- Optional memories or stories
We then create the tribute from the information provided.
What if my dedication is very long?
No problem. We can include your complete dedication while focusing the feature on the story behind it. The tribute highlights the meaning and personal connection rather than simply repeating the dedication text.
What if my dedication is humorous?
Whatever flavor your dedication has, we can match it. In fact, one of the questions we ask you is “When people hear your Dedication Story, what feeling would you like them to have?” I will build your story to match your answers.

Do I need professional photos?
No. Personal snapshots often tell the most meaningful stories. If you’d like, we can also work with just a book cover and your written responses.
