

A Pinnacle, Firebird, Book Excellence, & Media Crest award winner and North Street Book Prize Finalist, now in the Library of Congress archive, POETRY of 9/11. “IN THE AFTERMATH- 9/11 Through a Volunteer’s Eyes” is the result of her coming to terms with this life-changing experience.
Her newest collection is “A YELLOWED NOTEBOOK:” a collaborative/hybrid interweaving of her late father’s final writings with her poems. One reviewer remarked that the book reminded her of the mixed-tape, “Unforgettable,” intertwining Natalie Cole’s songs with her father’s, Nat King Cole. “A YELLOWED NOTEBOOK” has recently won the INTERNATIONAL FIREBIRD BOOK AWARD, First Place in both Poetry and Memoir.
Beth SKMorris holds a Master’s Degree in Speech Science, English Language & Literature, and a Ph.D in Speech, Language & Hearing Science. She recently retired from a career as a college teacher and corporate consultant to concentrate on her writing.
Beth is also the author of “NOWHERE TO BE FOUND,” a journey of places and people that takes us- HOME, AWAY, and HOME & AWAY. Beth is a member of Poets House, Hudson Valley Writers Center in New York, and the Academy of American Poets.
