The Firebird Frequent Flyer Award
The Firebird Frequent Flyer Award celebrates returning authors who have previously submitted their books to the Firebird Book Awards. One deserving winner will have their entry fee refunded and doubled!
It’s our way of expressing gratitude for your ongoing support and dedication to excellence in storytelling.
COMPLIMENTARY CONTESTS
When you enter your book into 3 or more categories in the main Firebird Book Award contest, your book is automatically entered into the appropriate fiction or nonfiction contests with their own judging criteria and special awards.

One winner from each category will receive
a Behind the Words written author interview (a $75 value)
in addition to the rest of our prizes
Animals/Pets – All entry fees in this category will be used to purchase and send canned pet food to animal shelters, matching donated funds dollar for dollar from Eleven Cats Radio.
We make and send fun, colorful handmade pillowcases and children’s books to women and children experiencing homelessness, naming you as the donor.
