Victoria Fletcher was a teacher in the Washington County Virginia Schools for 30 years and now is the secretary at First Baptist Church in Damascus where she has been a member for years. She has been writing poetry since she was 12 years old and published her first book in 2011. It was “The Bible Tells Me So: Old Testament Stories for Children”. It won the Xulon Press 2011 Children’s Bible Story Book Award. Xulon also did the companion book, “The Bible Tells Me So: New Testament Stories for Children”. These books were illustrated by a former student of hers, Emery Reid. She now has 19 books in all that have been published. She writes mainly children’s books and devotionals but she also has 2 poetry books, a memoir, a book about her time as a teacher, a perpetual calendar (based on one of her devotionals), and 1 young adult novella.

Victoria also has a publishing business called Hoot Books Publishing where she offers proofreading, editing, formatting for book size, computer generated cover design, formatting for ebooks, and uploading files to Create Space.
