So – how does this work?
It’s so quick and easy – you’ll love us! Each week we upload one of your episodes to the HOME page and the LISTEN page, either your newest episode or one from your archives – your choice. It airs non-stop 24/7 for a week. The next week we replace the previous episode with another one and this continues each week for either 6 or 12 months – your choice. You can either send us the audio file each week or we can download from your site – your choice. Once you make these few choices, it’s like being on auto-pilot – well, at least for you. You have nothing else to do and you’ll get exposure not only on the Internet but also be promoted on all of our terrestrial and cable affiliates and during our live events.
How do you access my shows to air on your network?
You have two options: Option 1 – you can send us your audio file each week as an mp3 via a file transfer site such as wetransfer, dropbox, transferbigfiles … Option 2 – point us in the right direction of a site that houses your podcasts and we will download directly each week for you – (Libsyn, iTunes, Blogtalk, your own personal website …)
What if I have more than one show? What if I only produce a show every other week?
If you have more than one show with different names and topics, we can offer a discount for the second unique show. If you produce more than one episode per week of the same show, we will just air one of the episodes each week. Actually this is a great way to entice listeners to head over to your website to continue listening and to become your fans, friends, subscribers, or customer. If you produce a show every few weeks, we will air an episode for two or more weeks until you have a fresh one to air. NOTE – some hosts in this situation fill in the missing weeks by airing previous archived shows. This is a great way to repurpose all of your prior work. And finally, we’re flexible. If you have a special program to air, we are happy to work with you in any way possible. Just ask!
Do I have to remove or add anything to my current podcast in order to air on your network?
We make it easy for you, so the answer is no. You’ve already done the work and we air your audio exactly as you send it. Our goal is to help you re-purpose your work and add additional life to your efforts. You control the content within your program – run with no ads or you can add your sponsors inside, at the beginning, or at the end of your show. You can air previous archived shows or current ones. It’s up to you!
Will my show broadcast at a specific day and time?
We’ve done away with time-slots and specific air times as a way to attract and retain more listeners for your show. Your show airs every day 24/7 live streaming and on demand. Listeners have the option to listen to the shows in order as they appear on the player or they may specifically select your show (on demand) and can listen over and over again. This model allows people from all over the world to listen to your show without having to tune in at 3:00 in the morning. This means more listeners for you!
Can I still air my show on additional sites?
Yes – You are free to broadcast anywhere else on the Internet, including your own website, or on terrestrial radio stations.
Do you have any rights to my show?
No – You own your show – this is simply a powerful means to broadcast or re-broadcast your existing show to an established and diverse audience.
Are there any additional fees other than the initial 6 or 12 month hosting fee?
Why do you need a hosting fee from me?
Your nominal hosting fee funds THE SEWPORT PROJECT – sending handmade pillowcases to homeless veteran shelters, woman’s and children’s shelters and sending cage comforters to animal rescue shelters. As a host, your name is added to a pillowcase as the donor and is mailed or hand delivered directly to the recipients. See Proceeds Page. It’s a great way to do what we love to do – talk radio – while giving back.
Where on your website will my program be promoted?
Your logo will appear on the HOME page.
Your show name will be listed on the PROGRAMS page that links directly to your own personal page.
Your personal page will feature your logo, a description about you and your show and a link back to your website.
If you have a product or service to promote – you will also have a spot on the SHOP page to link back to the URL of your choice.
And of course, your audio will always be aired on the main HOME page and the LISTEN page

Will I see an increase in my Libsyn downloads?
We upload your show to the players on the HOME and LISTEN pages. Fifty plus other programs are also housed on that very same player. They do not link to Libsyn or any other site. The shows are accessed and listened to right from the player, so the listener has no need to be re-directed anywhere else to download and listen. They wouldn’t even know that you used Libsyn, Blog Talk, iTunes …
We do however list your show on the PROGRAMS page – and that provides listeners a link to your very own page with your logo, show description, and show notes on our site. This then links back to your website or any other URL you furnish, so they can learn more about you.
So – Libsyn is not a part of our system and is not mentioned anywhere on our site. We specifically don’t want to confuse your tracking by offering downloads from our site. You will have two distinct set of listening numbers – downloads from your Libsyn site and direct listeners from our site. We are set up as a radio station and not a podcast hosting site.
Can listeners download my show from your site?
That’s a great question and one that we too considered prior to launch. So we conducted a pre-launch questionnaire and found that 97.8% of the show hosts did not want download capabilities offered from our site. The reason? It adds another layer of tracking that tends to get confusing. It’s much cleaner for you to track your downloads directly from Libsyn, iTunes, Blubrry, Blogtalk, or your own site. If listeners want to download, we’d much rather send the listener off to your site to do that – cleaner tracking!
We make listening easy for the listener. No need to subscribe, download, install or manage anything. They simply visit the LISTEN page and enjoy the programs as they occur or click the name of a program and listen on demand. Once they discover you, then they can head over to your website to subscribe or download future shows if they choose. Clean, simple, different, and effective!
Do you furnish listening numbers?
Yes we do. Each month you can request stats from the previous month.
How are those numbers gathered?
If you visit the LISTEN page or the HOME page – you will find all of the shows that air on the network listed within a single player. When a listener either clicks on a specific show or listens to the shows in order – their listening presence is captured as a number. There is a built in listen counter within the player (that tracks each individual audio file) and we pull numbers from that counter.
Each week when we replace your previous episode for a new one – we delete the old file and upload the new one. This resets the stat counter back to zero. We compile the weekly numbers and share the aggregated monthly number with you.
Because we are an Internet radio station (not a podcast hosting site where your audio has its own page or download link) – we cannot realistically offer in depth analytics for each show. We do have that type of information for the website itself and for the LISTEN page – but because individual audio files are housed within a single player – the system generates individual listener numbers only. The counter is 100% accurate so we do know exactly how many people click on to your show. And listeners are far more important than subscribers or downloads as those numbers can be fairly innacurate.
Do you offer a screen shot of my listening numbers?
We choose not to do that for privacy reasons. Because the listening numbers are furnished to us on a single page that includes all shows – a screen shot will divulge everyone’s numbers and we feel it important not to share your numbers with the rest of the hosts, and vice versa.
Here’s an example – let’s say your show has been on the player all week and you have nice looking numbers. If however prior to taking the screen shot for you, we just replaced Suzie Smith’s podcast with her most recent episode – her number will be zero for a moment until listeners begin to tune in to her show. Now – you have a report that appears to demonstrate that Suzie Smith has no listeners. Not true and not nice for us to do to Suzie, when in fact Suzie has a large following. Hope that answer explains the rationale.
We will gladly send you a report each month that shows all of your previous monthly numbers as a way to track growth.
What kind of numbers can I expect within the first month?
Specific show demographics are driven by many factors – the host, subject matter, show title, sound quality … However, based on experience we can give you a better answer once we know a bit more about your show and actually take a listen. Please contact Pat directly for a conversation about potential numbers.
Can I speak with someone personally?
Yes we love to get to know our hosts. In fact many of our hosts have been guests on Pat’s radio program and she in turn has been a guest on many of the host’s shows. What do I need to do to get started?
Again – we make it easy. Contact Pat via email or phone (440-725-5462) and she will send you the Quick Start page or grab it here. QUICK START PAGE Once we receive the few items back from you, we can have you on the site and on the air the very same day. All we need is your logo, show description, URL, any info for the SHOP page and your payment. It’s all on the Quick Start form.
